LED Lighting

LED lights are the latest technology in energy efficient lighting. LED stands for ‘Light Emitting Diode’, a semiconductor device that converts electricity into light.

LED lights are super energy efficient, using approximately 85% less energy than halogen or incandescent lighting – meaning significant savings on your power bills.

LED lights also have a much longer lifespan than other types of lighting - see below:

• LED: 25,000 - 50,000 hours*

• CFL: 8,000 - 15,000 hours*

• Halogen: 1,000 - 5,000 hours*

• Incandescent: 1,000 hours*

There are currently government incentives available.

Did you know? LED's can offer between 50 and 95% savings on your lighting portion of your energy bill, when used smartly with sensors and PE cells etc.

Voltage Optimisation

An energy saving technology that is used to regulate, clean and condition the incoming power supply in order to reduce the voltage supplied to the optimum level for the on-site electrical equipment and appliances.

Power Factor Correction (PFC)

PFC aims to improve power factor and hence power quality, utilising capacitors to offset usually inductive loads, for example motors. PFC systems increase the efficiency of power supply, delivering immediate cost savings on electricity.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC)

Optimisation of controls is a cost effective way to improve efficiency and performance of HVAC systems, both in older and modern buildings. Energy savings unlocked by HVAC optimisation activities can potentially generate revenue using NSW Energy Savings Scheme

• changing algorithms

• altering control schedules and set points

• carrying out minor mechanical repairs and alterations.

HVAC OPTIMISATION WILL REDUCE YOUR ENERGY BILLS

By taking action you could save up to 50 per cent of total HVAC energy use, or up to 80 per cent of energy use in individual HVAC components. In many instances, optimisation can provide immediate reductions in energy usage and costs. 

Other benefits can include:

• enhanced occupant comfort

• improved reliability of systems

• reduced maintenance costs

• improved building performance, as recognised in rating schemes such as National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) and Green Star.
